DESCRIPTION:Greetings!  It’s time for summer fun!  The Shoppes at Lafayette are excited to announce a new event for the 2023 season with our AugustFest 2023.  This summer event will be held on Saturday\, August 19\, 2023 at The Shoppes at Lafayette\, 75 State Route 15\, Lafayette\, NJ. \n  \nEvent components for this year include: \n\nBier Garden operated by Seven Tribes Brewery. Seven Tribes Brewery is a premium microbrewery located in Wayne\, NJ.  The founders of Seven Tribesmen Brewery are Hungarian-American childhood friends. The name Seven Tribesmen is a reference to their cultural heritage and represents their goal of building a local\, New Jersey craft beer tribe.  The bier garden will be located on the Village Green\nFood vendors including Cousins Maine Lobster Truck. Food Trucks will be located in the north parking lot.\nCraft and Specialty Vendors including several of our farmers market vendors.\nNew Shoppes open.\n\nHours for the event are 10:00am – 7:00pm.  So come out and enjoy a lazy summer afternoon strolling the grounds\, shopping and eating.  Have a casual time in the early evening in the bier garden. \nCraft Vendors and Food Vendors Welcome!

DESCRIPTION:The Shoppes at Lafayette has a history of having a Garlic Weekend.  The Garlic Weekend is an extension of the Sunday Farmer’s Market.  The garlic “harvest” is typically Mid-October.  We celebrate this garlic harvest by inviting the garlic farmers in the Skylands region and beyond to participate in a weekend long harvest celebration.  This year we will have about 10 farmers/vendors that work specifically with garlic\, our three normal farmers and more food and craft vendors.  This weekend really does celebrate the harvest. \n  \n2023 Garlic Festival Dates: \nSaturday\, October 14:  10:00am – 5:00pm \nSunday\, October 15:  10:00am – 5:00pm \n  \nBeer Garden run by Czig Meister Brewery on the Village Green \nCousins Maine Lobster Food Truck in the Crafty Farmers Market \nGarlic Farmers and Farmers market  \nArts and Crafts vendors scattered on the DP Grass area\, grass areas around the Village Green and other locations as needed.  \nLimited indoor vendor space in the Village Hall will be available on a first come-first serve basis.  \nFees \nCraft Vendor – Outdoor Space \nOne (1) Space: $70.00 per day – $140.00 for the weekend\nTwo (2) Spaces: $110.00 per day – $220.00 for the weekend\nThree (3) Spaces $140.00 per day – $280.00 for the weekend\nLimited Indoor space – $30.00 additional per day.

Santa will be in the Village Hall or perhaps walking around. There will also be a tree lighting. This year will be different in that there will be a smaller tree set up on The Green. \nThe stores will all be geared up for Christmas shopping. Craft vendors will also be on the Green with a variety of products for Christmas gifts. \nAnd again there will be a Toys for Tots collection. The toys for Tots collection will be in the Village Hall and in the Cupboard Shop.

DESCRIPTION:Lobster Day at the Farm Market \nThe Shoppes at Lafayette \n  \nSunday\, August 14 is Lobster Day.   \n  \nCousins Maine lobster Food Truck will be in the Farmers Market from 10:00am – 3:00pm.  Come early as Cousins draws a huge crowd and they always sell out. \n  \nHISTORY of Cousins Maine Lobster \nIn 2016\, Shark Tank producers had been part of the many customers that heard about the store\, tried the food and seen the craze. Although they did not know it at the time\, Shark Tank producers had been regular patrons at the truck in the very early weeks. They were asked by the producers to go through the process of being on the show. With less than a month’s worth of sales under their belt\, a very youthful company\, with no proven sales and a complete unknown of the business\, Cousins actually turned down the show… not once\, but twice.  As they gained a couple months of business\, the opportunity to get on Shark Tank never truly disappeared. And with a bit more confidence as time went on and a helpful call from an executive producer\, Cousins thought that all of the stars were aligning and finally took the plunge. \n  \nAnd at the end of the wild ride in the Tank\, Cousins came out hand in hand with Barbara.
